CALL TO CANDIDACY : COMPOSERS FOR THE CHEVILLION-BONNAUD PRIZE
@ 14TH INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION OF ORLEANS

Offered by the Fondation André Chevillion -Yvonne Bonnaud, under the aegis of the Fondation de France
Closing date for the submissions : before December, 2nd 2019.

Since 1998 the International piano competition of Orléans offers a Composition Prize for a new piece for piano lasting 6 to 8 minutes.
This Prize is awarded to the composer of the piece that each candidate (pianist) has to play during the first round of the Competition.
For the 14th edition of the Competition, the composer can be either the candidate (pianist) himself if he is a composer(this is not an improvised piece), either a young composer chosen by the candidate, or a composer part of a list selected by the artistic direction of the Competition.
If you are a composer and want to include your application among those which will be proposed to candidates who have not chosen a composer themselves, you can send before December 2nd 2019, to the International piano competition of Orléans, your candidature file.

  • Gentet Maroussia

    First Prize Blanche Selva

    Maroussia Gentet won the ‘First Prize Blanche Selva’ of the 13th International piano competition of Orléans (France), in March 2018 as well as 5 other Prizes included the Sacem Prize.

  • Jo Hyeonjun

    Interpretation Prize - André Chevillion-Yvonne Bonnaud

    En mettant sa sensibilité, son talent, et sa lecture exigeante de la musique au service de la composition, il est récompensé ex-aequo, du Prix de Composition « André Chevillion – Yvonne Bonnaud » lors du 13e Concours international de piano d’Orléans.

    Composition Prize - André Chevillion-Yvonne Bonnaud (ex-aequo)

    En tant que compositrice, elle remporte ex-aequo, en 2018, avec Labyrinthe pour piano, le Prix de Composition « André Chevillion-Yvonne Bonnaud » au Concours international de piano d’Orléans.

Created by Françoise Thinat, the International piano competition of Orléans (France) brings the piano repertoire of the 20th and 21st centuries to a consistently growing audience, reveals the talent of young artists and follows them from the beginning and throughout their carrier.
The first edition took place in 1994 – competition every two years, even years.

The International piano competition of Orléans for youth ‘Brin d’herbe’ open to pianists under 18, takes place every two years, odd years.
