OCI association is pleased to produce two concerts following the competition, one at the national theater of Orléans and the other in a prestigious Parisian concert hall such as the ‘Théâtre des Champs Elysées’, ‘Salle Cortot’, ‘Salle Gaveau’ or ‘Théâtre du Châtelet’.
Since a few years, a partnership exists with the ‘Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord’ in Paris and the laureates of the competition are invited to perform during the season of contemporary music of the theater.
The choice of original programs, in a similar vein as the competition, sometimes paired with new work, the participation of musicians and previous prize winners, and a selected audience showcasing the new Laureates.
More recently, it seemed necessary to highlight the composition prize because of the great careers of several of its laureates (Unsuk Chin, Thierry Huillet, Adam Roberts, among others). The pianist, who performed the laureate piece of music during the competition, proposes a program and this concert is preceded by a conference involving important figures of the music world and composers.
This event is supported by the ‘Fondation André Chevillion – Yvonne Bonnaud’ under the aegis of the ‘Fondation de France’.
