Abrahamyan Marianna

Marianna Abrahamyan is the second prize winner and winner of five special awards at the Orléans Concours International in 2016, ( Orléans, France).
The special prizes include- Prix SACEM, Prix Albert Roussel, Prix Samson Francois, prix des Etudiants du conservatoire d’Orléans and BOURSE de l’association Foyer JOYEUX-Henry DUTILLEUX, a one-month residence at L’Abbaye de Fontevraud.
In the preceding years, Marianna has been active in various professional activities worldwide including but not limited to the following:
In 2014, she won the 3rd prize at the first European Delphic Games in Volgograd, Russia, where at the final round she performed Beethoven piano concerto N4 accompanied by Volgograd State Simphonic Orchestra.
Meanwhile, in 2013, Marianna took the first prize at the ”Rennaisance” international contest-festival in Gyumri, Armenia, where she also obtained a special prize for the ”Chaconne” by S. Gubaidulina, as the best performance of the composition written in 20th Century.
In 2016, in the framework of the ”Concert des lauréats d’OCI” she made her debut at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris. She has been also invited to ”La Matinale” on FranceMusique radio station at the Radio France. In May of 2016, She was invited to take part in Piano City Festival in Milan, Italy. She appeared at the numerous solo and collaborative recitals at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, Oslo Domkirke( Oslo Cathedral), Kristiansand Domkirke, Kilden Performing Arts Centre, Søm Kirke, etc.
She recieved various masterclasses from renowned pianists as Klaus Hellvig, Paul Badura Skoda, Einar Steen Nøkleberg, Jan Jiracek, etc.
Marianna Abrahamyan was born in 1988 in Yerevan, Armenia. Her first piano experience was at the age of 5, her first teacher was her mother, Silvia Abrahamyan. In 2005, she graduated from Tchaikovski Specialized Music School in Yerevan and entered Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, where she completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree with professor Armen Babakhanian. She also obtained another Master’s Degree in Western classical music performance at the University of Agder in Norway, with professor Sveinung Bjelland.
